We are in a film inside the film that develops from the rehearsal of the dialogues between Totò and Ninetto Davoli in Che cosa sono le nuvole by Pier Paolo Pasolini and fragments from La Vida es Sueño by Calderón de Barca.The rehearsals are repeated with clapperboards and become the starting point for tales of dreams, messages, songs, disputes about the human conditions apparently staged, and instead truthful and philosophical like in the fairy tales. Dramatic stories emerge, as the one of young Domenico, life-sentenced. It is life, staged. A life which we don’t know if we belong anymore, towards we dream to return, delay after and delay.

GIOVANNI CIONI, film-maker, born in Paris, lived in Bruxelles, Lisbon, Naples and currently in Tuscany.
